iWalk 3.0 Hands-Free Knee Crutch Overview

iWalk 3.0 Hands-Free Crutch helps reduce muscle atrophy and promote greater mobility with a hands-free, ergonomic design. Traditional crutches are known for underarm pain and discomfort. This crutch, on the other hand, uses the thigh and shin to provide lasting support. This stability and comfort is achievable without putting any pressure on the knee. It features an instant push-button for height adjustability and quick-release buckles for added safety measures. With iWalk 3.0, users can achieve daily activities like walking up and downstairs, cooking, and even mowing the lawn. These activities would be difficult or even impossible with traditional crutches. Pair this crutch with Medline's Excel 2000 Wheelchair to take the load off from time to time.

Ergonomic Fit

The hands free crutch design uses the shin and thigh for support. It contours around the leg without putting any pressure on the knee. This ergonomic design makes daily activities doable once again.

Pain-Free

Avoid the pain and irritation associated with traditional underarm crutches with the iWalk 3.0 crutch. Rest assured that this crutch does not put any pressure on the knee.

Easy to Use

Without having to use the hands and underarms, this crutch keeps the user's hands-free for other activities. It only takes individuals a few minutes to get the hang of walking with the iWalk.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can the iWalk 3.0 be used with a cast or boot?
A: In most cases the answer is yes. It is very common for people to wear a boot or cast when using this device. There are some situations that this may not work, but in general, the iWalk is designed to be used with boots or casts.

Q: Will the iWalk 3.0 hurt the user's knee?A: No. There is a common misconception that the user is kneeling on the knee during use. This is not the case. Only the shin comes in contact with the platform. When the knee is bent 90 degrees, the patellar region is not in contact with the platform and thus does not bear any direct weight when using the device.

Q: Can the user walk down or upstairs when using the iWalk 3.0 crutch?
A: Yes. Navigating stairs on conventional crutches is dangerous and strenuous, but taking the stairs is one thing that can be done with ease when using this crutch. There is no need for a knee scooter or other supplementary product to help maneuver.
